<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimum priority depending on the circustance of a user, when there exist a plurality of candidates for location character strings including a portion of input location character string. <P>SOLUTION: A location retrieval system retrieves a location character string corresponding to the portion of the input location character string. The system includes at least a location character string storage means for storing the plurality of location character strings and position information of each location character string which are associated with each other; a location character string search means for retrieving one or plural location character string candidates including the portion of the input location character strings from the location character string storage means; and a priority determination means for determining the priority of each location character string candidate on the basis of the position information of each location character string candidate and one or plural reference information, when the plurality of location character string candidates are searched by the location character string retrieval means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
