PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dishes themselves from becoming heavy, to prevent the handleability from being damaged and to eliminate the risk of a burn. SOLUTION: The food service apparatus or the food service cart includes a heating coil housing part housing a heating coil or a shelf, a tray mounted on the heating coil housing part or the shelf and the dish mounted on the tray. A heating element composed of a magnetic material is held on the tray in a state of being heat-insulated from the tray, the heat-resistant dish is mounted on the heating element, the heating element attached to the tray generates heat by energizing the heating coil, and food inside the dish is heated when the heat is transmitted to the dish.
