The pump (2) has a dip tube (5) comprising an end (6) that is inserted in a product storage and distribution container (1) for drawing a product. The tube has a product dispensing end (8) to dispense the product to an outlet of a variable volume pump chamber. The tube is obtained by an extrusion of a flexible plastic material or elastomer e.g. styrene-butadiene rubber. A deformable elastic portion (9) is extended between lower and upper valves (10, 11) of the tube, and defines the chamber, where the valves are connected and maintained in the tube by friction. An independent claim is also included for a method for dispensing a product by using a pump.
