PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyfunctional epoxidized polyphenylene ether resin excellent in electric characteristics and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The polyfunctional epoxidized polyphenylene ether resin is expressed by general formula (1) (wherein, n represents an integer of 1 to 9; each of R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or an alkyl group which may be substituted; Y represents a divalent functional group; and X represents polyphenylene ether having an epoxy group at the end.).
