<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording body with high transparency and excellent water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording body constituted by arranging at least a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent, an intermediate layer, and a protecting layer in series on one surface of a transparent supporting body is characterized in that the protecting layer contains a carboxyl group containing aqueous polymer and is formed by applying and drying a coating liquid for the intermediate layer containing an oxazoline group containing compound as a cross-linking agent.
