PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a digital broadcast signal without having an effect on neighboring transmission bands in a digital broadcast band, and without deteriorating receiving quality in a broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: From a retransmission station A1 to a broadcast receiver RS, a partial segment including a segment corresponding to a central frequency out of all segments of a digital broadcast signal transmitted from a main broadcast station BS, i.e. only a signal of a partial band, is broadcast. The retransmission station A1 amplifies the digital broadcast signal transmitted from the main broadcast station BS up to an allowable level for the signal of the partial band and performs nonlinear processing such that the signal level is maximized at the central frequency of the partial band and decreases gradually from the upper end of the partial band to the high band side and from the lower end of the partial band to the low band side.
