<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an imine compound, by which an amine compound is oxidized with oxygen as an oxidizing agent in the presence of a catalyst which can be recovered and reused. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing an imine compound, comprising heating an amine compound in the presence of a gold cluster catalyst carried on a polymer (Patent Application No. 2006-65982) used for oxidation reactions and carrying gold nano-sized cluster on a styrenic polymer, in an oxygen or air atmosphere at 60 to 180°C in a liquid phase, is characterized in that the gold cluster catalyst carried on a polymer (Patent Application No. 2006-65982) is prepared by carrying the gold nano-sized cluster on the styrenic polymer, wherein the styrenic polymer is based on styrene monomers, has cross-linkable functional group-having hydrophilic side chains on the main chain or benzene rings, and is a polymer having epoxy groups and hydroxy groups as the cross-linkable functional groups, the epoxy groups and hydroxy groups of the polymer being cross-linked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
