A liquid crystal display device is provided to secure degree of freedom of a liquid crystal display panel and increase strength of the liquid crystal display panel by forming a light shielding film between a backlight unit and the liquid crystal display panel to form a gap and offsetting the shock of a lower end of the backlight unit by the gap. A liquid crystal display device comprises a backlight unit(100), a liquid crystal display panel(200), and a light shielding film(300). The liquid crystal display panel is on one surface of the backlight unit. The light shielding film surrounds a light path between the backlight unit and the liquid crystal display panel and is formed between the backlight unit and the liquid crystal display panel to form a gap so that faced surfaces of the backlight unit and the liquid crystal display panel are separated. The gap is symmetric to left and right sides on a vertical center line of the faced surfaces. |
