MIXER AND AUTOMATIC ANALYZER

A mixer (20) includes a vessel (5) for holding liquids, a piezoelectric substrate (23a), and a surface elastic wave element (23). A plurality of comb-shaped oscillators are formed on the piezoelectric substrate (23a). The surface elastic wave element (23) in contact with the vessel generates a sound wave. The mixer (20) mixes the liquids held by the vessel by using the sound wave generated by the surface elastic wave element. An automatic analyzer is also provided. The vessel (5) or the surface elastic wave element (23) has a reflection end surface (23e) formed on the wall of the vessel or on the piezoelectric substrate (23a). The reflection end surface (23e) is tilted or curved with respect to a plane orthogonal to the propagation direction of a sound wave generated by the surface elastic element and propagating in the vessel wall or the piezoelectric substrate while being reflected. Alternatively, the reflection end surface (23e) irregularity reflects the propagating sound wave.
