The gearbox comprises a spindle drive (28) with a spindle (30) driven by the rotary drive motor and with a spindle nut (32) linearly moving on the spindle, which is rigidly connected with a gear rack (36) of an output-side gear stage (34) of the gearbox. An independent claim is included for a method for transmission of a swiveling of an output shaft of a rotary drive motor for swiveling of a pivotable door wing of a revolving gate.
