The head (1) has a casing (3) with a screwable region (4), which is near to a combustion chamber (6), for receiving a fuel injecting valve (5) for injecting fuel in to the combustion chamber. The casing has a contact collar (7) for a cylinder head cover (8) on a side turned towards the combustion chamber. The casing comprises a sealing element (10a) between the screwable region and a valve train region (9). The sealing element radially surrounds the casing. Another sealing element (10b) is provided between the contact collar and the cylinder head cover.
