摘要 FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to versions of a xylitol synthesis method which is widely used in production of confectionaries, as well as in products for preventing diseases of the oral cavity, health improving products, pharmaceutical products etc. One version of the method involves electrochemical oxidative decarboxylation of an uronic acid compound involving a furanose or pyranose cycle to obtain a xylitol synthesis intermediate product and hydrogenation of the xylitol synthesis intermediate product to obtain xylitol. One more version of the method involves hydrolysis of a D-glucuronic acid compound, decarboxylation of the D-glucuronic acid compound to obtain a dialdehyde xylitol synthesis intermediate product and hydrogenation of the xylitol synthesis intermediate product in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to obtain xylitol. ^ EFFECT: invention provides a cheap xylitol synthesis method with high output at minimal losses. ^ 20 cl, 6 dwg, 5 ex
