A callback system is provided with a calling terminal comprising a storage section for storing information on attributes which are uniquely defined and given and a calling request processing section for transmitting a callback request including the attribute information to initiate callback communication, a database for storing callback source telephone numbers used in the callback communication for each attribute group created by combining a plurality of pieces of the attribute information in association with one another, an accounting object judging section for receiving the callback request and extracting a callback source telephone number corresponding to the attribute information included in the callback request from the database as a selected callback source telephone number, and a calling processing section for performing the callback communication with the calling terminal by using the selected callback source telephone number as a source telephone number.
