PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skins, excellent in a moisture-retaining property and the like, although various cosmetics containing the extracts of plants, such as a cosmetic containing an extract of morning-glory, a cosmetic containing the extract of strawberry, and a cosmetic containing an extract of carnation are known. SOLUTION: Provided is the external preparation for the skins, containing an extract of a plant belonging to Myoporaceae, such as Eremophila racemosa, Eremophila nivea, Eremophila maculata, Eremophila glabra, Myoporum parvifolium, Myoporum sandwicense, Myoporum bontioides (Sieb. et Zucc.)
