The device (14) has an elongated operating arm (16) swivelably supported at a housing sided end (16a) of a housing body (12) and slidably supported at a door sided end (16b) along an inner side of a door (10). The device is arranged between the housing body and the door, where the door is hinged at the housing body. The device is brought in a predetermined swiveling position of the door in a locking position. The device is released from the locking position by force that is applied on the door against closing direction to completely open the door.
