<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device wherein the electrical resistance on the direct-current power supply side can be diagnosed before operation, and when the electrical resistance is high, increase in power loss can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter device includes: an inverter circuit connected to a direct-current power supply; a voltage detector for detecting direct-current voltage from the direct-current power supply; and a control circuit. Before a motor is operated, the control circuit causes the inverter circuit to output a direct current to the motor to position a magnet rotor. When the motor is operated, the control circuit causes the inverter circuit to output an alternating current to the motor. When the magnet rotor is positioned, the electrical resistance on the direct-current power supply side is diagnosed based on the value of direct-current voltage detected by the voltage detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
