PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument which facilitates component management by providing a highly versatile circuit board. SOLUTION: The instrument inputs a predetermined pulse signal on the basis of a measured value and displays vehicle information on the basis of the pulse signal. The instrument comprises: first and second input ports 1, 2 for inputting the pulse signal; a first waveform shaping circuit 3 for shaping the waveform of the pulse signal input through the first input port 1; a second waveform shaping circuit 4 which is provide for shaping the waveform of the pulse signal input through the second input port 2 and which comprise a circuit configuration different from that of the first waveform shaping circuit 3; a switching circuit 5 which is connected to the first and second waveform shaping circuits 3, 4, respectively, and selects and outputs a pulse signal from either one of the first and second waveform shaping circuits 3, 4; and a control circuit 6 for allowing a display 7 to display measurement information on the basis of the pulse signal from the switching circuit 5.
