1348829 Threshing machine AGROSTROJ PROSTEJOV NARODNI PODNIK 9 July 1971 July 1970] 32440/71 Heading A1F The threshing drum 27 and stripper beater 6 e.g. in a combine harvester are coupled together by chains or gear wheels (not shown) or by a V-belt 18 passing over pulleys 16, 10 on their hollow axles 12, 3 respectively, and they are driven via a belt (not shown) engaging pulley 2 on an intermediate shaft 1 which passes through axle 3 and is coupled by variable-speed pulleys 8, 9 and 13, 14 and V-belt 17 to a second intermediate shaft 11 passing through axle 12 and connected to it through a clutch (not shown) or a gear box 19. Shaft 11 may be coupled directly to axle 12 by moving gear 22 to the left to engage claw gear 20, 21 or indirectly via gears 23-26 by moving gear 22 to the right. The separation of the two halves of pulley 8, 9 is adjustable from the driver's position and the two halves of pulley 13, 14 are urged together by spring 15. |
