<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a treatment of cells except specific cells without damaging the specific cells. <P>SOLUTION: An image-treatment device 12 acquires images of cell groups containing a plurality of the cells present in a culture container 38 at a prescribed image-taking interval under light field observation. The image-treatment device 12 specifies the cells except the cells having characteristics in the cell groups as the target cells, and detects the positions of the target cells. A laser source 22 for the treatment radiates a laser beam to the target cells based on the positions of the target cells to carry out a killing and wounding treatment of the target cells.
