An underwater propulsion apparatus for individual use is provided to adjust the whole length according to the body size of diver or operator and to facilitate redirection under water. An underwater propulsion apparatus for individual use comprises first and second bodies(10,20), a propulsion unit(30), and a controller(40). The first body has a transparent window(12) for front view and a guide rail. The secondary body has a movable guide bar(23) which is inserted into the guide rail. The propulsion unit has a L-shaped extension shaft(35). The controller comprises a rotary shaft(41), a control handle(42) fixed to the rotary shaft and rotated clockwise/counterclockwise, and a second cable(44) fixed to the control handle and the extension shaft.
