PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor having superior durability that supplies a high current to an armature coil, while suppressing the occurrence of arc sparks without having to construct a complex control circuit. SOLUTION: The DC motor includes a plurality of armature coils 2, into which a drive current for rotating a rotor shaft 4 is made to flow, with each field magnet 51 for generating a field magnetic flux acting on the armature coils 2; a coil terminal 32 conductively connected to each of both ends of the armature coil 2; a pair of positive and negative conductive contactors 7, conductively connected to a DC power supply E and intermittently and conductively contacting with the coil terminal 32; and a magnetic-field generating unit 6 for forming a magnetic field between a pair of magnetic poles, facing each other across a contact part of the coil terminal 32 and the conductive contactors 7. A first electrically-insulated magnet M1 is interposed between coil terminals 32, and the first magnet M1 and the magnetic-field generating unit 6 are disposed such that the different magnetic poles face each other; a second electrically-insulated magnet M2 is fixed to both sides of each conductive contactor 7; and the first magnet and the second magnet M2 are disposed, such that different magnetic poles face one another.
