<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase a dedicated driver IC by making discrete in an LED drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The LED drive circuit 1 includes a resistor 10 connected on a cathode-side driving line 6 in series, a transistor 12 for controlling light-emission drive of the LED, and a voltage-stabilizing circuit 13 for stabilizing voltage between an emitter of the transistor 12 and the resistor 10. The transistor 12 is connected on the cathode-side driving line 6, and a collector is connected to a cathode connection terminal 4, and the emitter is connected to the resistor 10. To a base of the transistor 12, the voltage provided by amplifying the control voltage input from a control voltage input terminal 8 by a control voltage amplifying circuit 9 is supplied. The transistor 12 is turned on/off by the voltage supplied to the base, and when the transistor 12 is on, the LED emits light.
