PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for a vehicle in which invasion of foreign matters and rain water or the like into a connecting terminal can be suppressed and protection of the connecting terminal can be sufficiently attained. SOLUTION: The socket for the vehicle 1 is equipped with a main body 2 installed on the vehicle, a connecting terminal 3 in which a plug at the tip of a wiring extending from an electric component which a driver equips or carries can be inserted is formed in the main body 2, and power supply can be made to the electric component. The socket has a wall part 4 which is formed protruded from the main body 2 so as to cover the side face of the connecting terminal 3 and a cap portion 5 which can be insertion engaged with or removed from the wall part 4 and covers the whole of the connecting terminal 3 in the engagement state.
