PURPOSE: A method and a mobile communication unit for providing a supplementary service according to failure of transmitting call connection in a mobile communication unit are provided to supply to a user a desirable additional service by promptly guiding an additional service to the user according to the call failure event of an originating communication call. CONSTITUTION: A control unit of an originating terminal confirms the occurrence of a call failure event of an originating voice call(S1), and provides a user with additional service guide information. The control unit requests from an originating MSC(Mobile Switching Center) an auto dialing service(S7). The originating MSC transfers a voice call connection request signal to a reception terminal(S11). If the voice call connection with the reception mobile communication terminal is successful, the originating MSC requests a call connection request signal from the originating mobile communication terminal(S19).
