<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical characteristic measurement apparatus for correcting a scanning line bow in a sub scanning direction in the whole scanning region (whole image region), and obtaining an excellent color image less in color shift in the sub scanning direction, and to obtain a color image forming apparatus using the optical characteristic measurement apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When the scanning line bow in the sub scanning direction of an optical scanner, which includes a deflection means which deflects and scans a luminous flux emitted from a light source means and an imaging optical system which images the deflected and scanned luminous flux on a face to be scanned, is measured, the optical characteristic measurement apparatus includes three detection means which detect the scanning line bow in the sub scanning direction of the optical scanner, one of the detection means is disposed at the central part of the scanning region of the optical scanner and the other two detection means are disposed at the positions which are symmetric in a main scanning direction with respect to the central part of the scanning region of the optical scanner, and the relation 0.75W≤D≤0.95W is satisfied, where W (mm) stands for the effective scanning width of the scanning region and D (mm) stand for the distance between the other two detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
