<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery that has high reliability and structural safety, and which is advantageous for high capacity and miniaturization. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery is provided which includes: a center electrode part including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator; a first electrode part that extends from a first end part of the center electrode part; a second electrode part that is extended from a second end part positioned on the opposite side to the first end part of the center electrode part; a center case that surrounds the center electrode part; a first electrode case that surrounds the first electrode part; and a second electrode case that surrounds the second electrode part. The first electrode case is fastened to the center case, wherein a superposed part of the first electrode case surrounds a portion of the center electrode part at the first end part, and the center case surrounds the superposed part of the first electrode case.
