PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate in which extraction efficiency of light from a main surface of the light guide plate is improved and irradiation light in the main surface of the light guide plate can be made uniform. SOLUTION: The light guide plate leads out light incident from one end or both ends of a side face from the main surface. Laser beams are condensed on the interior of a light guide plate base material which is a base material before forming into the light guide plate, and the condensed portion is melted to form a molten mark, and a pattern of concave shape or convex shape is formed on one face or both faces of the main surface.
