PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the occurrence of toner offset which contaminates a recording material, and winding jam, etc. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a fixing roller 31, which is a heating-rotating body heated by a halogen heater 33 which is a heating source; a pressure roller 32, which is a pressure-rotating body coming into press-contact with the fixing roller 31; a cleaning roller 35, which is a cleaning member coming into contact with the circumferential surface of the pressure roller 32 over the entire area of the maximum width of a usable recording material 11; a CPU 200, which is a maintenance means for maintaining the cleaning roller 35; and a printer driver 2, which is an instruction means instructing the execution of a maintenance mode by the CPU 200.
