PURPOSE: A novel amphiphilic compound is provided to improve Jsc value and to ensure excellent efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An amphiphilic compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound of chemical formula 2 is prepared by successively reacting a compound of chemical formula 21, a compound of chemical formula 22, and a compound of chemical formula 23 to a compound of chemical formula 20. A dye sensitive solar cell comprises: a conductive substrate, a semiconductor electrode which is formed on the conductive substrate and contains a dye-adsorbed metal oxide layer; a opposite electrode; and an electrolyte solution filled between the semiconductor electrode and opposite electrode.
