<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car sharing system that allows a vehicle to be used as reserved. <P>SOLUTION: When information on a request for reserving a shared vehicle is transmitted from any one of terminals 2A or the like, and a server 3 determines that the shared vehicle is available and accepts the reservation, use permission information including a key ID of an electronic key 5A or the like of a resident who has made the reservation and a time zone reserved is created, transmitted to an in-vehicle device 7α or the like, and stored therein. When the resident approaches a vehicle α or the like, and the key ID is transmitted from the electronic key 5A or the like to the in-vehicle device 7α or the like, a use permission determination part 75 of the in-vehicle device 7α determines whether the transmitted key ID matches the key ID included in the use permission information corresponding to the current time.
