<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism of a stage device having no effect on camera shake correction operation when being used as a camera shake correction device without increasing the thickness of the stage device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lock mechanism of the stage device comprises: locking holes 63 formed in one of a fixed support substrate 32 and stage plates 60, 61; lock pins 36 fitted mutually movably loosely in locking holes drilled in the other; and a drive means 103 positioned on the peripheral side of the same plane as the stage device 30, separated from the stage plate when the stage plate is in an operation state, pushing the stage plate in the moving direction when the stage plate is in a non-operation state and for contacting the lock pins on the peripheral edge parts of the locking holes.
