<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method capable of breaking down to a high degree the TOC, particularly the urea, contained in the raw water. <P>SOLUTION: Raw water W fed from a water supply tank 1 holding the raw water W is biologically treated by a biological treatment unit 2 and then fed to a primary pure water unit 3. An ammoniacal nitrogen source (NH<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-N) is added before the biological treatment unit 2.
