PURPOSE: A thrust bearing manufacturing method and a thrust bearing manufactured by the same are prevent the decreasing of combining force between a resin plate and a metal plate. CONSTITUTION: A thrust bearing manufacturing method is as follows. A plurality of grooves is processed in the upper side of the metal supporter to the slide direction and the direction which is orthogonal in the upper side(S10). The spacer of the metal material is stuck on the upper side of the metal supporter erectly(S20). The meshed member of the same metal material as the spacer is stuck on the upper end of spacer(S30). The particles are sprayed to the external top side of the metal supporter in order to form a thermal spray coating layer(S40). The resin of a synthetic resin material having the same area as the upper side of the metal supporter has is prepared(S50). The inserting member is inserted horizontally along a groove(S60). The lower part of the molten resin plate is compressed on the top surface of the metal supporter(S70).
