<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably forming an image over a long period of time by reducing the occurrence of adhesion of a carrier on an image carrier, thereby suppressing the degradation of image quality caused by the adhesion of the carrier. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image forming parts 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1Bk in the moving direction of an intermediate transfer belt 16, the image forming parts 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1Bk including a photoreceptor drum 2, an electrifying roller 3, an exposure device 7, a developing unit 4, and a primary transfer roller 5 for transferring a toner image developed on the drum to the intermediate transfer belt 16. In the image forming apparatus, for instance, the surface potential (on-image Vback) of a part overlapped with a toner image formed in the image forming part 1C downstream of the image forming part 1M in the moving direction of the belt, of the surface potential (fog taking potential) of the non-image part of the photoreceptor drum possessed by the image forming part 1M is made lower than the surface potential (center Vback) of the other part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
