<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection system which can reduce the consumption of nonflammable powder (a nonflammable agent) and has a compact structure. <P>SOLUTION: The dust collection system includes a dust generation source surrounding hood, a dust collection hood with a nonflammable agent spray unit which is communicated/connected with the dust generation source surrounding hood, and a dust collector communicated/connected with the dust collection hood with the nonflammable agent spray unit through a connection duct. The dust collection hood with the nonflammable agent spray unit has a dust collection hood which transports dust in the vertical direction, a dust collection duct which is communicated/connected with the side surface of the dust collection hood and transports the dust in the horizontal direction, and a nonflammable agent spray unit which is communicated/connected with the side surface of the dust collection duct, stores the nonflammable agent, and sprays the nonflammable agent.
