<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a guarantee certificate to be managed easily and surely by reducing a burden related to entry of information to a guarantee certificate and storage and management of the guarantee certificate and a burden related to access of the guarantee certificate at a user level. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic guarantee certificate management server 105 manages guarantee certificate data registered for each product ID by a manufacturer information processing terminal 104, and adds user information, store information and a selling date registered additionally by an information processing terminal for store 103 to the corresponding guarantee certificate data for management, based on product ID information and terminal ID information. A portable information terminal 102 requests guarantee certificate data of the corresponding product from the list of guarantee certificates through a communication network 106.
