<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the carrying efficiency of a sheet applied to a copy machine, scanner, printer, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The inventions include: a feeding means that sequentially feeds sheets one by one, a carrying means provided on the more downstream side than the feeding means to carry the sheet fed by the feeding means toward the downstream side; a detection means provided between the feeding means and the carrying means to detect the sheet fed by the feeding means; and a control means that controls the feeding means.
