<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liquid crystal shutter spectacles in which light leakage is reduced while the liquid crystal shutter is closed. <P>SOLUTION: Liquid crystal shutter spectacles include: a first substrate and a second substrate that pinch a liquid crystal layer containing a liquid crystal material exhibiting a blue phase; a comb-shaped first electrode and a comb-shaped first common electrode disposed between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer; and a comb-shaped second electrode and a comb-shaped second common electrode disposed between the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer.
