The package (1) has a receptacle (3) for receiving a solid dish i.e. sandwich (2), and forming an envelope having two opposite open ends. A rigid rectangular parallelepiped case (4) includes a receiving space extending in the interior of the case. The case is opened outward on two opposite sides, where the case receives the receptacle and guides translatory movement of the receptacle in the receiving space. The receptacle includes pre-cuts on the two opposite sides, where the pre-cuts form a notch (7) for accessing a portion of the sandwich. An independent claim is also included for a device for temporary storage and presentation of a solid dish in a package.
