<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility and strength in a display device that forms a line of light by arrangement of dot-like light source. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises a lengthy metallic lower base 1 and a plurality of display units 2 mounted on the lower base 1. The display unit 2 comprises a metallic outer cover 15 and transparently made inner covers 16 and 17 fitted within the outer cover 15, and a circuit board 18 having light emitting diodes 4 mounted thereon at intervals is disposed within the inner covers 16 and 17. The display unit 2 is attached to the lower base 1 by mating an upper engagement claw 21 of the outer cover 15 with a lower engagement claw 12.
