<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-demand advertisement system and a printer which can implement an advertisement by means of a coupon with advertisement even from a small lot, and automatically counts sales result data of an article with the coupon. <P>SOLUTION: An on-demand advertisement system includes a server under control of a manager, and a printer installed at a retail store. When an advertiser has requested an advertisement on an on-demand advertisement site (S2), the server transmits a coupon issue command to the printer (S4), and a coupon with an advertisement is issued at the retail store (S5). When the purchase price of an article with the coupon is adjusted at the retail store, the bar code of the article is read by a bar code reader attached to the printer (S6), and the printer supplies discount information to a POS system of the retail store (S7), then sales result data is stored in the printer (S8).
