<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosynthesis inhibitor for strigolactone, a plant hormone which controls branching of plants, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The strigolactone biosynthesis inhibitor includes a compound represented by formula (I) (R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>represents an alkyl group, alkenyl group or aryl group; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>make a combination of a hydroxy group and hydrogen atoms, or, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>together form an oxo group; n denotes an integer between 2 and 6; and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
