<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator that reduces electric power consumed by communication and allows a main control device to receive information on a temperature sensor etc. to be always monitored. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes; a case body having a refrigerating compartment formed therein; a door attached to the front face side of the case body so as to be openable/closable; and a refrigerating cycle attached to a part of the case body. A control substrate for controlling at least operation of the refrigerating cycle is mounted on the part of the case body. A switch to be used for mode setting operation, a temperature sensing means, a display part and an operation control substrate controlling operations of the switch to be used for mode setting operation, the temperature sensing means and the display part are mounted on the part of the door. The control substrate and the operation control substrate share information thereof by transmitting/receiving communication signals to/from each other, so as to constitute a control circuit controlling the operation of the refrigerator.
