PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe clamp that allows a pipe to swivel about a ball joint while a clamp and a pipe end are loosely connected.SOLUTION: A pipe clamp 410 is used over a ball joint formed between a balled end of a first pipe and a flared end of a second pipe. The pipe clamp includes a band 426, a tightening mechanism, and a clip having at least a pair of claws. The band 426 extends axially from a first edge 432 to a second edge, and extends circumferentially from a first end to a second end. The tightening mechanism draws the first and second ends of the band toward and away from each other in order to respectively tighten and loosen the pipe clamp 410. The respective claws 466 of the clip are axially protruded beyond the first edge and radially below the first edge 432, and define a surface engaging with an outer surface of the balled end and facing a radial inner side. |
