PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral solid preparation which has an improved adhesive property, excellent film coating property and a smooth surface while maintaining a high moistureproof property of polyvinyl alcohol, a method for producing the same, and a film coating composition used to produce the oral solid preparation.SOLUTION: A film coating composition includes at least polyvinyl alcohol and a water-soluble cellulose derivative. The saponification degree of polyvinyl alcohol is 74.0-89.0 mol%, and the mass ratio of the contents of polyvinyl alcohol and the water-soluble cellulose derivative within the film coating composition is 90:10-60:40.
