PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which enables a slide container to unfailingly return to a predetermined position in a storage room even if the slide container is repetitively taken out/in with simple operation. ! SOLUTION: A retention mechanism 100 retains a slide container 64 in a state where the slide container 64 is stored in a storage room and includes: an arm 102 provided at the slide container 64; and an arm holding part 104 which is provided at the storage room. The arm 102 includes a recessed part 106 having an inclined surface 106a which inclines to the front side toward a bottom part. The arm holding part 104 includes: a rod 112 inserted into the recessed part 106; and biasing member 116 which biases the rod 112 inserted into the recessed part 106 toward the arm 102. When the slide container 64 is stored in the storage room, the rod 112 biased by the biasing means 116 is inserted into the recessed part 106 while sliding on the inclined surface 106a. !
