A carton includes a top wall (2), a bottom wall (5) and a pair of side walls (3A, 3B) hingedly connected together to form a tubular structure (6) for receiving at least one substantially cylindrical article (C), a handle device (7) associated with the top wall, and an article retention mechanism at one or both of the opposed open ends of the tubular structure. The at least one of the open ends of the tubular structure is dimensioned such that a single cylindrical article may fit in the at least one open end. The retention mechanism comprises a pair of engaging tabs (26a, 26b) hingedly connected to the top wall facing the at least one open end and folded into the tubular structure. |
