PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decipher a secondary synchronization code (SSC) utilizing a scrambling code associated with a primary synchronization code (PSC).SOLUTION: An apparatus for conducting wireless communication comprises: a module 1502 that receives wireless transmission from a mobile network transmitter; a module 1504 that extracts an SSC from the wireless transmission, the SSC consisting of at least two sequences scrambled with a common PSC-based binary scrambling code, where the common PSC-based binary scrambling code is based on a common polynomial expression that is different from another polynomial expression used to generate at least two sequences; a module 1506 that employs a common PSC-based binary descrambling code to decipher the SSC; and a module 1508 that determines an ID of the mobile network transmitter from the deciphered SSC. |
