PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sample the expiration and body fluid of a subject to simply measure the concentration of an optical rotation material included in the expiration and body fluid of the subject with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In the optical waveguide circuit for measuring the degree of optical rotation, a waveguide core is exposed on the surface of the optical waveguide circuit or is arranged in the vicinity of the surface of the optical waveguide circuit so that an evanescent wave from polarized light propagating the waveguide core leaks from a waveguide core, and the evanescent wave detects a solution stuck on the surface of the optical waveguide circuit to detect the angle of optical rotation of the solution. |
