Disclosed is a method to control knocking of an engine, comprising: a step of checking if the engine load volume has entered into a full-load status to check if it is an activation condition of knock control when the engine is driven, and if it is determined to be an activation condition of knock control checking if the engine load volume has entered into the full-load status; a step of limiting learning to prevent a knock learning value from being reflected in an ignition angle when the engine load volume is determined to have entered into the full-load status in the step of checking if the engine load volume has entered into the full-load status; and a step of learning knock to check if the engine load volume has been released from the full-load status when the step of limiting learning is performed, and if it is released from the full-load status, reflect the knock learning value in the ignition delay value. The present invention provides a method to control knocking of an engine to relieve a lowered power performance due to an ignition angle delay by a knock learning value in case of start acceleration or outstrip acceleration even if the engine load volume is also in the full-load status during a case where knocking control is activated. |
